I Learned What It Means to Be a Christian
I used to think people like me didn’t go to church. I drank a lot and was in and out of jail. I thought of myself as a black sheep.

But then my wife and I went to The Oaks. We came a couple times and something happened to me. We found life, community and friends at The Oaks. I’d never experienced that in church before.

I was all in.

We joined Alpha and started learning more about what it means to be a Christian. The class answered our questions and we met people we could relate to.

I invited friends to church for Easter. If you told me two years ago I’d be inviting people to church, I’d have said you were crazy. - David Grier
